An English Reading Comprehension Activity. This resource gives the learner an overview of the movie Encanto and well as listing the characters and their ‘super’ powers. Learners will read the text and then answer ten skimming and scanning questions based on this document. There is an extension question. Answers are provided so that learners can self mark. This would suit KS2/ KS3 aged learners.

A good refreser / lesson stater on this subject. This is a 22 page PPT on figurative language devices. A short task is also provided on the last slide. 11X A4 display posters. GCSE AQA Power and Conflict - Ozymandias. Key quotes to display on your classroom walls. There are also two documents attached containing 11 flashcards. They contain the quotes that are printed on the posters. Students can cut out these cards and laminate them for revision practice. You could also get your students to cut out each quote and stick them into their workbooks. They can then critically analyse each quote.

Quotes Double-sided. Printed double-sided on A4 paper. 2 cards per sheet. Each card, on the reverse, has a number of key quotes that connect to each quote. These can be cut-out and laminated to be used as revision cards In order to print correctly, print ‘double sided’ whilst also choosing the ‘flip on short edge’ option.

Pin the nose on the Easter Bunny. An A3 poster and additional sheet with cut-out bunny noses. Get your learners to cut out a nose each and attach Blu-tack to the back. Get them to close their eyes and see if they can correctly stick the nose on the bunny!

Quiz and answer sheet provided. Students will try to guess the names of each member of the royal family: past & present.

Cut out and hide the clues around your building / classroom. The learners should be split in teams of two. They have to locate each clue which will contain an individual letter. Once they have located the clues they have to unscramble the letters which will reveal the name of a corgi that the queen once owned.

THE GAME IS UPLOADED TWICE - DIFFERENTIATING FOR BOTH KS2 & KS3. A fun jubilee game. Hide the 10 clues around classroom and get the pupils to find them. They then have to work out the clues to escape the Tower of London! Instructions: You are trapped inside of the Tower of London and are going to miss the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee party! your only way out is to solve a coded message. Solve it or you will be trapped inside forever! • There are ten clues hidden around the room. • You need to locate all ten clues and then you will need to solve them in order. • seven of the clues, once solved, will reveal different letters of the alphabet. there are grey boxes on the clue sheet for you to write these letters down, as well as space on your answer sheet. When you have noted down all of the letters, you will then unscramble the letters to reveal a ‘queen’ related phrase. • The three other clues will reveal three separate numbers. You will add these numbers together to reveal a 3-digit number. This will be the last part of the code. • Once you have ‘cracked’ both codes, you will then be able to escape from the tower!

Instructions: Cut out the cards below and place them into a hat. Get one person to pick a card from the hat and act out what is on the card. They can’t speak, make lip movements or point at objects in the room!

A great resource that can be used as a prompt to research the British monarchy. The learners will conduct research on the monarchy after being prompted by key questions. They will then decide what their opinion is and write down 3 key points which support their opinion. They will then take part in a speaking and listening mock assessment and put their opinion forward in a class discussion.

Get your learners to play this fun game. Cut out the facial parts on page two which include eyes, a mouth and a nose. Each learner picks a pair of eyes, a nose and a mouth. Place blu-tack on the back and get them to close their eyes. They must stick these on the queen’s face. Take a picture of the poster and get the next learner to pick the facial parts and take part in the game ( remove previous facial features ). The person who creates the funniest face wins!

The Platinum Jubilee Themed Bingo Game Instructions: Cut out the images on the grid sheet and place them inside a container. Give each player a bingo card. As you draw an image from the hat, ask the players to cross them out on their grid sheet. The first player who gets 5 in a row, wins! A4 page - 2 cards per sheet.

Get your learners to match the cards into pairs. X12 pairs Instructions Cut out all the cards ( they are double sided with a Union Jack theme on one side). Lay them face down in the centre of the table. Get you learners to take it in turns and choose two cards at a time. The objective of the game is to make as many pairs as possible.

Pin the crown on the corgi! An A3 poster and additional sheet with cut-out crowns. There are three different designs: a corgi with a crown, a transparent crown and a corgi without a crown. You can print out and play the game with your chosen sheet. Get your learners to cut out a crown each and attach blu-tack to the back. Get them to close their eyes and see if they can correctly stick the crown on the corgi! They can close their eyes or wear a blindfold!
