A fact file/ knowledge organiser that can be stuck in children's books when doing the information genre in writing or for a help sheet if they are writing a non-chronological report in a foundation subject.
Included on the sheet is a list of key vocabulary, an example of an information text and a diagram that shows the sequenced structure from the example text.
A PowerPoint that focuses on a previous SATs question where children were asked to work out the value of the missing length around volume where they could solve it from the numbers they know. The presentation focuses on solving the question before working through other examples to practice and apply the method.
A simple checklist that is easy for pupils to use. Includes the key features that should be included within an discussion text for children to refer back to during independent writing to self-assess/ for teachers to then use to assess against afterwards.
The first of six lessons that focuses on being able to create a website using Google Sites. Included are all the resources required to help as well as the unit of work planning.

Quickly find out children's capabilities and the different ways in which they use Google before then being able to use this to inform a unit of work that looks at using search engines effectively.
A worksheet that explains hyphens and includes examples before working through various activities to apply their understanding of hyphens. The answer sheet is also included separately.
A lesson on being able to paragraph accurately that has been created for Year 5 children but is easily adaptable to other age groups. Included is a presentation looking at TiP ToP paragraphs, identifying what these are with children and then looking at examples and deciding how paragraphs are being changed.
Also included are three differentiated activities and a writing help mat that includes TiP ToP paragraphs.
N.B The activity one for LA is the first page from the lesson 3 and 4 LA sheet as this came from a different unit of work originally.
A mini-assessment for children based on a number of fraction topics. The idea of this assessment is to give them it before they begin a unit on fractions and then after again with improvement being shown in their knowledge and understanding. Questions towards the end also include elements of reasoning to show a deeper understanding.
N.B: Written with Year 6 in mind.

A fully resourced lesson on semi-colons that has been written for Year 5 but is easily adaptable. Included is the lesson presentation and three differentiated worksheets that focus on being able to use semi-colons, particularly between two independent clauses. All the resources required for children to independently create their own instructions for creating a Halloween potion of some sort. Included are examples of potions from Harry Potter, different lists of potential items and key linking adverbs and imperative verbs. Also included is a cauldron picture where children can draw or list ingredients that will go in.
