Fact files for different aspects of Key Stage 2 History. Included within these are a timeline for the period as well as a key vocabulary section for some of the words children may come across during the topic.
These are useful for either sticking in books at the start of the topic to refer back to or to enlarge and have on display.

A worksheet that provides a variety of questions for being able to identify averages for different sets of data through the mean and the range.
Included as part of the worksheet are eight different questions that provide variation to check understanding through the use of different question types.

Each worksheet includes 12 multiple choice questions. Each question includes 4 options where 1 sentence is grammatically correct and 3 are incorrect, with children needing to identify the correct option for each question.

A whole class reading comprehension session based on Chapter Seven from the Firework-Maker's Daughter. The session focuses on reading the chapter before looking at any vocabulary children are unsure of. Children will then be shown how to pick out key words from questions as well as looking at what question words are looking for. Finally, children will be able to work through one of three differentiated worksheets that check their comprehension skills/ deeper understanding.
Activities that can be used when teaching the Vikings in KS2. Included is a map activity that requires children to colour the map based on Danelaw and a set of questions that then finishes with a mini-essay style question where children have to apply their knowledge to respond to a statement.
Make Maths Matter is a 12 week intervention that is designed to build children's number confidence in Key Stage Two. Within the scheme is an explanation of the thinking behind the way it has been planned out and why it is important to start with the basics.
There is then a mini plan for the three sessions each week to be led by either a teacher or teaching assistant that explains the purpose of each session.
This is finished off by an Appendix that explains particular concepts in more details and gives a brief description of how each resource is to be used.

An introductory lesson for Year 4 Place Value with children working on numbers up to 1000. As a first lesson, it requires children to work with Base 10, identifying different values based on what is represented, including thinking about the use of a place holder.

These can be used for guided reading sessions or to give children as activities to support guided reading sessions/ whole class reading comprehensions. The questions follow the order of the chapter but don't have answers attached as the answers can vary depending on the child's opinion
A lesson that gets children to compare Luke and Matthew when describing the birth of Jesus. Included is a lesson presentation and extracts that can then be used to fill in the Venn diagram to highlight similarities and differences between the two gospels.
Two reading comprehension activities linked to chapters the first two chapters of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Both chapters have a comprehension activity that includes 20 questions that work on different skills as well as also having the answers included separately.
Attached is my final submission for NPQSL that scored 26/28. Certain sections have been removed for confidentiality but the full assessment itself is there. I’ve uploaded it in the hope it is useful for anyone doing the NPQSL as I know when we were doing it we were disappointed with the lack of free examples to look at.
A fully resourced 10 lesson unit on the Romans and their impact on Britain. The lessons are done as mini enquiry questions with 5 questions and a review lesson at the end of the unit. This has been created for mixed 3/4 classes but can easily be adapted to be used across Key Stage 2.
The questions are as follows with the approximate amount of lessons in brackets:
EQ1 - What was happening in Britain before the Romans arrived? (1 lesson)
EQ2 - Why did the Romans find Britain difficult to conquer? (2.5 - 3 lessons)

Included is a booklet format that includes all the questions, all the supporting information required and the activities linked to this. These can easily be separated into mini booklets per question or the activities can be taken out to suit how you teach history in your school. As much as possible, images, models and diagrams have been used to make the information as accessible as possible to refer back to following discussions. Each question also has key vocabulary and recap questions as well (the first lesson links to our previous unit of Ancient Greece so can be easily adapted) and finishes with the enquiry question to support written outcomes in history.
Each enquiry question also has a PowerPoint that includes the information and diagrams from the booklet as well as any additional notes etc.
There is also a knowledge summary organiser - these can be sent home to show what they are learning about as well as being used in class as a succinct way of accessing the key information from the lesson.
All the resources have been uploaded as PowerPoints so that you can easily adapt them to suit your setting.
A PowerPoint that gives a brief introduction to the issue of littering. This is useful for an assembly or discussion in class as it focuses on what littering is and some of the significant issues that come about from littering. To finish, there is a link to a video that looks at removing rubbish from canals because of how plastic is making it to the oceans.

Both worksheets are set out in two ways: one where the questions are just written and children need to set them out and one where they are already set out ready. Answer sheets are also included for both sheets.
The first sheet focuses on multiplying a 2-digit number by a 1-digit number before then multiplying the same 2-digit number by a 2-digit number to introduce the new step. The final questions are then a range of 2-digit by 2-digit to apply the new learning.
