Two different worksheets that give the chance to practise multiplying a 3-digit number by a 2-digit number using the written method. Both worksheets are set out in two ways: one where the questions are just written and children need to set them out and one where they are already set out ready. Answer sheets are also included for both sheets. The first sheet focuses on multiplying a 3-digit number by a 1-digit number before then multiplying the same 3-digit number by a 2-digit number to introduce the new step. The final questions are then a range of 3-digit by 2-digit to apply the new learning. The second sheet focuses on multiplying different 3-digit numbers by 2-digit numbers. An activity that gets children to round statistics based on the top 10 followed people on Twitter to help with engagement whilst also getting children to consider how to round up or down appropriately depending on the number e.g. rounding 112,543,124 to the nearest million rather than to the nearest 10. For each one, children will cut out the slip and stick it in their book. They will then have to decide whether it is appropriate to round to the nearest 10, 100, 1000, 10000, 100000 or 1000000. Once they have rounded these they will then write an explanation of why they rounded to that number.
