French Christmas Sentence Builders

This is a very engaging & fun activity that revises Christmas vocab. verbs, question words, opinions é the weather. Students are given the the muddled sentences. (The unscrambled sentences is a teacher copy.) Students cut out the words é unscramble them to form a sentence that makes sense. They stick the sentence onto the worksheet and underneath translate the sentence into English. Those students who are able, can answer those sentences which are questions. In French, bien sûr. (See example) Please take the time to comment. Your feedback is much appreciated. Joyeux Noël à tous…

(They are 10 & 11 years old) As we have been looking at irregular and regular verbs in the present tense, this is a piece of comprehension I will be giving them together with the question sheet. Maybe it will be of use to others of you, who may be covering similar work. Please do take the time to comment. Your feedback shows that my resources are appreciated.

A gap-fill exercise to practice recognising verbs. I thought this would be a fun activity for my 10/11 years olds who are just starting to learn verbs. It proved to be a huge success. They loved it. They found the translations so funny that and by the end of the class they knew all French 10 idioms off by heart. They went away from the class saying that they wanted to research more French idioms and offered to do it for homework!! Wow!! I wonder what they will come up? Please take the time to comment if you find this worksheet of any use. Your feedback is much appreciated.

They love calling out &';Qui a un chat?' &'Qui a une vache?&'; To win the card the reply is 'J&'ai un chat&';, 'J&'ai une vache&';.
