Facts about something children love...ice-cream! They can read the facts and interpret before making an information booklet on ice-cream.

Used as a template, words can be changed depending on what topic you are doing. Our topic is 'What is our school made from?' so we have taken key words for children to cut out and stick onto the sheet with an alphabet strip.

Simple format - words can be changed to suit whatever topic. Children write a definiteion of each term, in this case we did it for 'What is our school made from?'

Phase 5 sounds - one per slide. A fabulous resource for recapping sounds and initiating speaking. Each sound has two slides. On the second slide there are three images linking to the picture. This resource is an enjoyable way to tackle preparation for the phonics screening. It can be used in class or sent home for homework. -The first activity requires pupils to read gobbledygook (Pseudo) sentences. -The second activity allows pupils to write their own gobbledygook sentences for others to read. -There are also 30 alien cards (with alien picture and pseudo word) for pupils to play memory or snap with (fun to send home to get parents involved). These can be laminated to use again next year! -There are also 12 blank cards so pupils can design their own alien and write their own pseudo words to include in the games.
