A great basic resource in order to show how to draw bar charts for children in years 3,4 and 5 clear simple and no fuss ! A great starter input piece for a lesson on data handling !

Complete lesson on re telling a section of the Stone Age Boy story with an example we discussed in class - this is then levelled off into yellow blue or red sections and can be differetated accordingly - A great lesson with not that long on the carpet ! I have used this for year 3 and 4 now and each time the lesson has gone really well with the kids producing some great writing following the story ! I hope it is of use to you and can be adapted to suit your class !!

Sword in the stone reading and writing comprehension ideal for KS2 particulary mixed aged class ( mine!) this activity/lesson went really well to improve reading skills ! Different children read different parts then we discussed key words and phrases - then all of the children completed the attached activties within this Powerpoint identifying word classes intially to improve SPAG skills then developing their reading comprehensive skills with some inference also - Headteacher walked in mid lesson and really liked what she saw ! I hope this helps as a stand alone reading activity or English lesson !

Another Iron Man resource with this time a modelled piece for the children by me and attached resources in the Powerpoint I wrote this with little pictures of the Iron Man at the top of the kids books - choice of colours to add which level of work they wish to complete also - this is I believe a typical 80-20 lesson with the kids doing the 80 !!

An Iron man opener resource with written example for the class to read also ! They found this very useful for a lead in ! Plenary attached also to evaluate their own work - do find it of some use !

Transition leaflet for the new term - ideal for key stage 2 however will fit for younger ones to - feel free to edit as you see fit - Great starting point to build from and also have discussion and engagement from for your new class !!

A study on Galileo related to science and Space and discoveries ideas etc - then once the children have seen and watched this they write this up as a study as a class - all were really engaged and would suit years 4 and 5 well - great for something a bit different to !

Grandma warning poem to revise word classes and a fun way to build upon earlier learning with accompanying activity sheet within the PPT a great resource and is appealing to all Year 3,4,5 and 6 children I have worked with this ! A super stand alone activity !

A great starting point for teaching time this goes back to the basics and quite quickly you can identify who can tell the time and to what level through this powerpoint - this I have done to years 3,4,5 and 6 and has worked very well - I hope you find the same - starts at Oclock then half past and builds up to increasingley difficult times to tell - any queries etc do be in touch !

This stand alone lesson is basically a note taking one, where a short video (enclosed) is played then the class take notes then following this the children are given 3 levels of writing yellow blue red and they have criteria to cover in each. This was done in a geography lesson but would be ideal for cross curr writing in English and did bring out a lot of technical vocab from the group and good writing was produced -

The Iron Man comprehension with set activties for the children to work through - Activty 1 is for the less able children Activity 2 and 3 for the rest are open ended activities I found it went very well and can be used as either a reading lesson or English lesson - good for the children to think about the answers at Year 3,4 and 5 ! Spag starter ideal for coming into lesson to from break and lunch and can be edited and amended as necessary ! For Year 5 and 6 (and below) this was a great way to start the lesson as it was engaging and straight away got the kids to think and be active !

Semi colon activity and powerpoint lesson combined- ideal for Years 5 and 6 English lessons and worked very well as a standard alone grammar lesson to aid childrens learning - progression within the lesson also here through staged activities

An introduction Powerpoint to the Year 4 text in relation to the World War II topic looking at this in English with included video clip also - This is a great lead into the book and has 2x challenges also for the children to complete. A great cross subject piece and super to get the class to understand the beginngs of World War II and its effects- any questions do ask away !

Basic sentences to improve starter to the lesson - ideal for any Key Stage class for after break or lunch or even as they come into school !

Aboriginal Art flip chart that breaks the work down into stages and looks at the history of Art ! A great stand alone flipchart that can easily be used over 2-3 weeks with the children using pen, paint or pencil to help them complete this ! A great resource even for the none specialist ! Ideal for Primary teachers particularly KS2 but would work with year 1 and 2 also !

Pack of word class cards - ideal for the children to practice and revise key word classes - ideal for spag practice and revision generally throughout the school year with display also here- I got the class to write the particular word on the word class display sheet to create and add to the working wall - A great and invaluable resource and suitable for all year groups for Key Stage 2 in addition this can be used across school and particularly helpful for year 2 ! Stone age to iron age flipchart - ideal to start the topic and build upon as the term goes on - great lesson ideas for the week and term here - The kids did love the activties here to engage in the topic !
