Christmas tree bauble counting activities (full lesson)
This includes an introduction carpet session (powerpoint) where children have to count the baubles on the Christmas tree, the answer is revealed when the slide is clicked. It also includes an individual christmas tree sheet which can be used for a follow up activity, homework or assessment. This does not have number on so can be edited and differentiated to suit the ability in your class

wild/ domestic animal sorting (smart notebook and word document)

quick maths powerpoint - addition and subtraction word problems
A quick maths activity which can be used for a morning task, maths lesson starter or simply if you have a spare 5 minutes. Each sum is presented as a word problem and the children either need to use an addition or subtraction strategy ( extend by asking children what it was about the question that made them use a certain operation) the answers are revealed by clicking the mouse and the star will fly away. There are 15 questions altogether and they include a mixture of abilities with some answers been below 10 others 10- 20 and a couple of 20 + ones. if you find this resource useful look out for other quick maths resources coming soon!
