Spoons game: Look it up, there are loads out there but in a nutshell: in groups of four. need three spoons (any other item will do as well) try to make a set of four but passing one card to the left and receiving a card for the right. if you finish a set as secretively as you can grab a spoon when you do that everyone else tries to get a spoon too. person who misses out adds the next letter of SPOONS on their sheet. play continues till all but one have written spoons. they are the winner. can also be used as a simple matching activity.

Properties of 3D shapes (Top Trumps)

Create a set of top trumps The first three are edges, vertices and Faces The next is asking for the greatest number of sides for the shapes used on the faces (e.g a square based pyramid has a square and some triangles so the square has the most sides at 4) The last asks for the total number of DIFFERENT shapes (so for the square based pyramid that would be two) Extra cards can be given out so those that finish can deal with dodecahedrons or other unusual shapes Powerpoint included for demonstration

Images taken from MrBartonMaths: https://classroom.google.com/u/0/share?url=https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/matching-fractions-to-decimals-snap-game-6042741 Two ways to use the resource matching: cut all the little squares and get the group to match into sets of four. Four cards are missing, complete them to make the sets. Dobble: Each larger card (a set of four smaller squares) has one matching image (they may be different but have the same value) Let me know of any errors I missed

In a row game there are two sheets, one for each of a pair of students. All the answers are the same except for two. The pair must work out which of their questions have the different answers. Also they may want to edit the questions so they match up.
