I have an all boys group and they needed something that they could just memorise lots of language devices with. Each time a mock came around they would forget what things to look for in the language questions. It's colourful too and can be put up in the classroom.

I created this display for a descriptive writing unit that we did based around the zoo. The display has key features and addresses structure. See my descriptive writing WAGOLL that could be used with this.

I wrote this paragraph for students based on an image of a tiger that we looked at in class. It's good to get students thinking of a 'moving image'.

Some visual cutouts to make a display based on Dickens' A Christmas Carol. I put this up on a blue background with white at the bottom to represent snow. I then put black borders over it to make it look like a window looking out. Make this even better with gold wrappers from chocolate coins to represent Scrooge's counting house.
