I have used Century Gothic as the placeholder in these slides but it is up to the teacher to individually modify them.
The lines may not suit the font that you are using and so I have provided you with a blank sheet that can be used for you to add the line style that is used in your particular school or district.
In Australia, for example, we have a different font style for each state and so it would be incredibly difficult to create a resource for everyone of them….hence this resource being made editable.
If you would prefer not to do the editing yourself, I am happy to do it for you for you for a small fee (you would need to provide the font for me to use as I don’t have all school fonts on my computer)
This is for use by one teacher in one classroom. If you would like to share with your colleagues, PLEASE purchase a multiple license. Thank you :)

This set of cards and teacher notes contains 24 Scenario cards with blank multicultural faces on them.
They can be used laminated as playdough mats or to draw on with whiteboard markers. Googly eyes also work really well with this activity and a lot of fun (eye not included)
You can use them as discussion starters shown on the whiteboard and discuss how each character would be feeling
What would their faces look like?
How would their eyes look?
Would they have wrinkles on their forehead? Why or why not?
How would their mouth look?
I have included smaller versions of the cards so that students could use these in barrier games where one child makes a face, and then has to describe to a partner what their face looks like (there is a book or screen between them) This is a wonderful activity for talking and listening.
Barrier games are a great way to encourage expressive and receptive language skills

These little tags are designed as a classroom management strategy to help support students if they become ‘stuck’ on a classroom activity.
Each day, 3 students are nominated to be the ASK 3 TEAM, and these tags are designed to be laminated and worn on the end of lanyards to identify them in the classroom.
Fantastic for classroom teachers to have in their teaching kit to leave with the names of 3 responsible students if they are going to be absent.
A helpful resource and strategy for Relief teachers to have in their resource kits. Look for responsible students and allow them to be your assistant teachers for the day.
This resource will be a winner over the Festive Season, I have used Mandalas and Geometry hand in hand with great success over the years. Experiment with shapes and mirrors and explore how a kaleidoscope actually works. I have included some fantastic links in this resource that will show you how to create a Mandala, how to divide your shape into concentric circles using a compass.
The YouTube videos included will show your students how to create some exciting Mandalas of their own.
This resource is designed to link mathematics, art and the theme of celebrations together in one neat activity.
Discuss with your students the definition of symmetry and find examples of it in the classroom, every day life and in historical mosaics and art pieces.
Concentric circles and geometry can be discussed within this activity, and students encouraged to use a compass to draw circles. This YouTube video may also be useful as a lead up activity or another lesson based on concentric circles
You will receive a 70 page PDF which includes 53 pages of images and 2 sheets of colored shapes that you can print of and laminate for use with mirrors to explore symmetry. Exciting stuff!!!!

About this resource
This collection of cross themed units will be an asset to any primary teacher’s toolkit. Activities embrace Blooms taxonomy with a variety of activities and learning styles in order to suit the needs of the children in your care.
These can be used by Supply Relief Teachers to supplement activities at a short notice if needed. Children can select a task or task that resonates with them to complete and share with their classmates.
Black line masters are provided for supplementary tasks if you need them.
For a longer block of time, you may like to encourage your students to choose more than one activity, use in personal journals, golden hour or as homework extension tasks.
Minimum materials are required to implement these activities, and technology is included as an option in some activities.
Both Colour and Print friendly versions are included in this pack
Subitising is the instant recognition of patterns of shapes to be able to determine a number. There are many different ways in which we all see these patterns and they are a lively discussion topic for any primary grade class to determine how we interpret these displays of dots.
I encourage you to view this dot number talk by Jo Boaler in one of her many inspirational presentations https://vimeo.com/129139086 where she works through this concept with a middle primary group of students.
This download comes with both a PowerPoint presentation and a PDF version with 27 slides/pages (including credits and terms of use).
As the slides increase in difficulty the students transfer their knowledge from class discussions and can readily determine a quite complex display of dots on a page.
The graphics are engaging and visually inviting for students with some wonderful clipart from Manny's Sketchpad .
A useful addition to any Maths Teaching resource kit for primary school teaching.
