I am a music specialist and the music I write is original, tested on children and for the less confident teacher. My aim is to provide you with everything you need to fulfil Topic requirements and those of the National Curriculum (without having to prepare anything.) I provide Power Points/videos and give you mp3s and lyrics. Notation is sometimes given. The instrumental parts are dead easy!

A video and suggested follow up ideas , including composing, following the work and life of Sir John Tavener. He died in 2013 and his music is well worth a listen to . In order to comply to the size of download that the TES will accept I have put together video with a lower resolution so the quality is not brilliant but acceptable.

.Suitable for non specialist. Easy to follow. One way is to collectively designate the instruments to each of the the 4 Wind in the willows characters. Then, choose a leader for , say, the woodblock, ask them to play something to represent their chosen character, and then let the others copy it.. Repeat 3 times . Add other characters.

MadPad on the ipad. A guide to getting started and recording your own sounds

I've taken screenshots of each stage of using Madpad . We start with making a pattern with the existing sound bank and then go on to create our own sounds. You cant use Reflector with Mad pad hence the screen shots I haven't gone into detail with ABA structure . You may need to do some work on patterns before you start here or you could miss that and concentrate on creating rhythms

First establish the pulse and chant the words twice. Then substitute the second repeat with a musical instrument. Older children can use pitch. Work on syllables would be useful before this lesson starts.
