A powerpoint with a full set of lessons for a pre-GCSE unit preparing year 9 students for GCSE. Recapping content from KS3 and overlapping with GCSE content. Contains all the tasks and worksheets as slides at the end of each lesson slide sequence. Links to experiments and videos etc within the PPT.

A series of lessons on the control of water potential, the structure of the kidney and the structure/ function of the nephron. Also included are some homework tasks to help develop students essay writing in the exam.
An extended writing task linking pressure, boyles law and mechanism of breathing. It has short exam questions and activities to work through the extended writing task.
A series of lessons aimed to develop scientific investigation skills in KS3 students, would be good for year 7/8 or lower ability year 9 or for revision for higher ability year 9.
Lesson scheme as follows:
1-3. intro investigation skills and compression strength of biscuits-planning, doing and analysing (3 lessons)

A series of lessons on the resting potentia, action potential, refractory period and factors that affect the speed of conduction. With a series of activities within the PPT and an attached set of exam questions from the AQA set of past papers (paper number identified in the document). Video links and reference to Toole and Toole AQA textbook pages to support students and teacher.
This took me about 3-4 lessons to complete with sufficient time for the students to complete the activities, exam practice and ask questions. I have not made a markscheme for the exam questions as I tend to refer straight to the past paper markscheme, if you would find this useful to have as a resource then let me know.
