The exam board terminology has not been edited in order for pupils to familiarise themselves with the specification criteria. Pupils can creatively produce match reports or predictions using the vocabulary mat. It is ideally suited to higher KS4 pupils and KS5 pupils. The first sheet has over 120 expressions related to football and describing a sporting event. The second sheet is equally extensive covering the countries involved, the stadiums, vocabulary for emphasising your point, adverbs, vocabulary to conclude your report, vocabulary for listing your reasons, time phrases, linking words and opinions so can be used for other topics. This resource is easy to print and to edit. It is suitable for classwork, homework and cover work. it will work really well as an end of term activity.

There is also a word cloud containing all the events and the pupils translate the disciplines. There are 7 comprehension questions and 8 vocabulary phrases to find.
