This is a 10-15 minute assembly for Remembrance Day suitable for all year groups from Year 5 - Year 13 (KS2, KS3, KS4, KS5, Ages 9-18) and can be used for an assembly, tutor time session, whole school, PSHE or Citizenship session. It can easily be lengthened by changing the discussion activities to written ones for it to last a whole lesson. There are two short youtube clips downloaded so they will never disappear. It is narrated but you can delete this by clicking on the icon and pressing delete. It covers what remembrance day is, why it is observed, why people wear poppies and why we have a two minute silence. This is a 60-90 minute narrated lesson about religious views on protest. It includes some downloaded video clips which will never disappear. It includes different religious quotes about protest and has activities based on Martin Niemoller’s poem, ‘Then they came for me’ and the question of whether we should protest for others. It explores how the Golden Rule of all religions can be used for views on protest and goes through how to answer a 12 mark GCSE answer on this topic - "Religious people should always protest about important issues. It includes discussion and written activities and is fully narrated. You can easily delete the icon on each slide if you do not want it narrated or want to change some of the more specific slides for homework etc. This was originally an a lesson for Year 9 in the topic of ‘Protest’ in Religious Education but is suitable for all secondary school pupils (Ages 11-18 KS3, KS4 and KS5). It can also be linked with the new RSHE curriculum, the PSHE curriculum or a whole school tutor time resource.

This powerpoint is a narrated 10-15 minute session introducing the new cabinet which Boris revealed on 15th September 2021. It explains what a cabinet is, what a reshuffle is for and outlines who changed their roles or got promoted or sacked. It has a slide connecting it to British Values, a reflection slide and some discussion questions. It finishes with a quiz and links for further study and news stories. There is a downloaded short video clip showing the new cabinet to the students. This was originally delivered to Years 7-13 (KS3-KS5, Ages 11-18) in tutor time as a short introduction to the new Cabinet and to fit with the Citizenship curriculum and informing them on recent news connects to the PSHE syllabus. There are no written activities in this session but it could easily be lengthened to a whole lesson if needed. You can also remove the narration if you would prefer to do it yourself or leave it unnarrated for staff to deliver.

It has a downloaded news clip and discussion activities about gun laws. It also connects with Fundamental British Values and the UN Rights of a Child. There is no written activities, it was originally produced for a Citizenship tutor time session in September with KS3 - KS5 (Ages 11-18 Yrs 7-13). This is suitable for a whole school secondary audience as an introduction to incel culture and the tragic event in Plymouth over the Summer holidays.

This is a 15 minute assembly, tutor time or PSHE session to share with students in Years 7-13 (KS3, KS4 & KS5 Ages 11-18). It has a downloaded video of newsround clip suitable for all students and explains a snapshot of the situation in Afghanistan. This was originally a whole school assembly narrated but you can easily delete the narration by deleting the icon on each slide. It includes a brief history of the area, key information about the Taliban and Afghanistan, discussion questions, a reflection and a slide connecting it to British Values. It also contains suitable links on the last slide for students to explore more about this topic if they wish. There are no written tasks in this PowerPoint but could easily be turned into an hour’s Citizenship or PSHE lesson if needed.

It is suitable for KS3, KS4 & KS5 and may be suitable for the upper stage of KS2 to explain to pupils the recent findings of the Commission. This lesson contains a review about smoking with a quiz and a competition. This was originally part of a PSHE day on smoking for Year 7 but can be used from KS2 - KS4 (Ages 7-16) as a standalone lesson or part of another lesson about smoking. It discusses questions about the law, addiction and chemicals and ends with a competition task for pupils to complete.

This lesson was originally a two part lesson forYear 7 students to make a model or 3D picture of the Harimandir Sahib (The Golden Temple of Amritsar). It includes a worksheet about how to be a good team worker as well as full instructions for the task. Students loved creating these models and it taught them teamwork skills and information about the Golden Temple. It is suitable for pupils from KS2-KS4 (Aged 7-16).

This lesson was originally a Yr 9 90 minute lesson but can be any KS3 or KS4 (Ages 11-16) lesson and shortened very easily. It goes through the six main religious beliefs about God and then an introduction to atheism and humanism. It includes a video clip, discussion and written activities, definitions, a quiz and a plenary. Students reacted very well to this lesson and it taught them that you don’t have to have religious beliefs to be a good person.
