Save valuable time when writing your reports Are you a teacher or Senior leader who wants to write excellent, personalised reports but also want to save some of your valuable time? This resource contains many exemplar paragraphs and sentences, that can be modified and adapted to add to any style of student mid term/end of term reports; they have originally been written for students in Special Education and some of them link to personalised targets, however much of the resource can be used by colleagues in all types of educational establishment.

Getting the Thoughts of Your Students is important for ‘Whole School Development’. This is a 20 question survey encompassing all aspects of school life. I wrote and distributed this survey at the end of a term, where a new Behaviour and Teaching and Learning policy was introduced. The feedback was invaluable to help us assess how well these policies had started to be embedded; a similar survey was also distributed to the staff.

This letter template is based on my previously well used Headteacher letter template that I used for applying for HT jobs; this one is specifically focused on roles for Headteacher/SLT positions in Special Education and Alternative Provision and gives examples of the kind of evidence you may need to provide that helps to catch the eye of prospective employers. I did indeed get an interview using this letter and ultimately got the job, which was my last substantive post before retirement.

This is a ‘Bullying Policy’ that I had previously written for my Special School, where it was proven into guiding staff into making decisions around bullying incidents. It aims to give a comprehensive definition in real terms as to the kind of bullying that may be experienced by students in any educational provision.

This comprehensive 10-12 week module can be delivered as part of any Life Skills or PSHE Programme in upper primary or lower KS3 age groups. The module focuses on supporting students to become more independent in their learning; topics include: Personal organisation Time management Memory work What a good learner looks like What good learning looks like How to manage distractions in learning What to do when they get stuck Developing ‘Noticing’ Skills Identifying strengths Going for ‘Goal’

We all require a good template at times to showcase key data. This resource identifies key areas of data relating to individual student behaviour that can be used to present key findings to a Line Manager, school Governors or indeed OfSTED. It can be tweeked to suit the kind of data required and the way in which behaviour is tracked in your school.

This is Part 1 of 3 Behaviour Support Programmes. The BSP 1 is a module of work that can be used with students who are unable to demonstrate effective social skills and frequently allow their emotions to get the better of them, often demonstrating bouts of anger and increased emotion. The module is best suited to be delivered by a Mentor or Behaviour Coach in a 1-1 or small group environment. It consists of between 4-6 lessons and contains all appropriate worksheets and lesson guidance.

Student attendance continues to come under scrutiny since the Covid Pandemic. The Tracking and Monitoring attendance package contains the appropriate monitoring tools and associated resources/letters/templates to effectively track student attendance in any school. Alongside the resources are appropriate letters that align to different stages of the tracking and an overall monitoring chart to be used by the attendance officer, to track referrals and cases which require additional follow up. In addition I have added monthly Red/Amber/Green Letters which are an additional monthly resource to inform parents of their students attendance and how it aligns to school expectations. I have also added a template that helps staff to identify historical attendance and exemplar narrative to help you use the appropriate language used by monitoring agencies. I have used this bundle of tools to track attendance in all of my roles in the past 6 years and it has proved very effective and easy to use. This is Part 3 of 3 Behaviour Support Programmes for Students. The BSP Part 3 is a module of work that can be used with students who are at risk of FTE or indeed have received multiple FTE previously. The work would be ideally suited to students in Alternative Provision/PRU who have made mistakes, but are willing to reflect to try and improve things for themselves. It fits alongside BSP 1 which is also available. The module consists of 6-8 lessons that cover the following topics: What do I know about FTE? Escape to an ideal world My preferred future Who is in control? Making appropriate decisions Stop, Think, Go Preferred Outcomes Looking at stress and me

The Attendance Support Plan Template can be used as a higher level intervention, to support improvements in student attendance and to identify key attendance data that can be used with parents and the child, so that what is required for improvement, is shared by all and is represented in one clear document.

The Learning Diary is a booklet that can be used for students to record evidence of their learning that takes place outside of the classroom environment.

This bullying resource includes: An initiative that can be used to tackle bullying in school - bullying levels. A bullying contract that can be used with students who are frequent bullies An exemplar letter that can be sent to parents to help with paper trail regarding any bullying incident The bullying levels are used to help discourage bullying in school alongside appropriate consequences for those who do bully. For students who are frequent bullies, there is a bullying contract that can be used to further discourage this kind of behaviour and this could be used in conjunction with a parental meeting. Alongside this is an exemplar of a bullying letter that can be sent to parents.

Introducing Relationships Education This is an ideal module of work to introduce the importance of positive relationships at home and in school. The 5-6 week module identifies clear lesson by lesson planning and resources that focuses on relationships at home, in school and with friends and encourages students to reflect upon their own experiences.

The 5-6 week Problem Solving Module can be added to any Life Skills or PSHE programme and is ready to go, with a lesson by lesson format that identifies all of the teaching activities to be undertaken and the resources required. The aims for the Module are as follows: Students will be able to identify a problem within different situations and consider different ways of being able to solve the problem. Students may be able to Coach others into encouraging different ways of solving problems some students may have. Students will be asked to discuss some problems that may arise in the workplace or during a part time job and then come up with possible solution Students will have a knowledge of Benefits and Burdens Analysis The format is the same as all other modules I have added to my dashboard, that allows non-specialists to be able to pick up the work and deliver it without planning. The modules I have added, including this one, are ideal as cover work and for use by cover supervisors.

Get that Interview - Get that Job; your first steps to a new position A proven letter template of 2 sides that can be used to shape your application letters and Personal Statements for Senior Leadership Posts; I have shaped this letter over the years and it has helped me to be selected for numerous interviews and ultimately to be selected for 3 Headships. Having recently retired, I am hoping this will help other colleagues to achieve the same, so go for it and good luck!

A module of work that can be easily slotted in to any PSHE or Careers Programme for KS3 or KS4. The module focuses on student aspirations and their hopes for the future; it’s lesson by lesson format helps students to identify their own skills and those which employers may look for. It links in to job adverts and helps students obtain a better understanding of adverts when looking for potential jobs/careers. It concludes with students reflecting upon what it takes to become successful and what they need to do to achieve their life ambitions.

Using this resource will prove an excellent way to reinforce Behaviour Management expectations for staff. It aligned to our 'Behaviour Slip System of blue and red slips for poor behaviour and reminded staff of when follow up was required, or indeed if they needed to deal with the named ‘behaviour incident’. It stopped staff writing lots of behaviour sips and always passing on issues to pastoral staff or sending students out; it helps to make staff more accountable for what goes on in their classrooms. It can be adapted to suit your own BM protocols. There are two models added, with the coloured version an update on the first. It really does work with teachers, as well as proving a useful resource for staff training.

Having introduced a Coaching Programme for my team of teachers and support staff, I was able to witness at first hand the benefits of such a system. This resource includes both the teacher reflection sheet and observers recording sheet that can be used by staff involved in the Coaching Programme. The sheets can be adapted for use by teachers or indeed support staff.

How do we develop/enrich learning in our establishments to enhance student outcomes? I delivered this powerpoint as part of a refresher for my staff, to help enrich and develop wider thought on how they can deliver effective lessons that enhance the learning experience for students. This powerpoint is stand alone and can be delivered as part of whole school staff training - no further resources are required.
