The first in my series of Explorers and Navigators resources for KS1/2. I have written the story of Christopher Columbus in a child friendly vocabulary, outlining his life, his travel to Spain and then west across the Atlantic Ocean. I have included a PDF filewhich can be printed as individual workbooks and a powerpoint presentation for discussion about the topic.There are comprehension questions, writing activities, some grammar, a ship's log entry and a story planning sheet. A PDF file for KS1 and 2 relating to the landing at Galippoli during the 1st WW. These are original poems written by me for the children to discuss and then create their own acrostic poems, look at personification, similes, metaphors etc. I have also included a powerpoint presentation to be used as a class hook.

This is a PDF file for KS1. It consists of my own original poems, a rhyming verse and an old ballad connected to Summer. The poetry is based on the seaside,sand, gardens, forests, birds and flowers in the summer. Each poem has follow up worksheets involving creative writing, poetry writing , rhythm and rhyme, internet research, grammar, drawing activities, writing a postcard, writing lists and dictionary work on words and meanings.Mainly beneficial for KS1 but could be used with low achievers in KS2. Plenty of room for differentation.

This is an original short story written by me personifying Titanic as a woman before its sinking. There are four pages for the children to read and then I have created Comprehension activities, vocabulary activities, creative writing activities, SPaG activities, and deduction activities. This is suitable for year 5 and 6 or a good reader further down the Key Stage. It is a pdf file which can be printed out as individuall workbooks. It would also be useful for group work reading. A resource to use with Year 5 or Year 6. A pdf file with 30 questions to revise the following topics:- Percentages,Square Numbers, Factors, Multiples, Rounding to nearest 10 and 100, Angle, turn and compass points, Missing numbers,Length problem solving, Time intervals, Addition and Subtraction of money, Area and perimeter. This resource can be downloaded and printed out as a revision booklet for each child.

Updated resource for KS2 or good ability KS1. Includes information sheets, writing tasks including letter writing, designing a healthy menu, writing an newspaper report and an acrostic poem also spelling activity. A pdf file which can be printed and used as individual workbooks.

A great resource for KS1 to stimulate their writing. These are prompts about summer activities with pictures of animals, sandcastles, children and summer accessories. Very similar to my Easter and Spring Story prompts. They can be printed out and can be laminated for groups of children. Also good for differentation. Also be suitable for the less able children in KS2.

A great resource looking at the Jewish celebration of Passover for KS1 and KS2. An original story about Moses and The Ten Plagues written in child friendly vocabulary. Following the story there are writing and drawing activities, including newspaper articles, diary entries, recall of story, find suitable adjectives and alphabetical order. Children need to empathise with both the Egyptians and The Israelites in some of the written tasks. A word mat is included to aid writing and help spelling. A Powerpoint is also included.

A set of 38 Mental Tasks for KS1 to be used as first thing in the morning tasks or for early finishers. These can be cut out and laminated or printed out as individual sheets or workbooks. Months of the year, calendar work, division and multiplication by 2,3,4,5,10, Numbers in words, words into numbers, fractions half, quarter, third and tenth, measures converting litres, metres, kilograms. May also be of use for slow learners at KS2. I have also included a presentation file.

A great resource for both KS1 and 2 to be used for St.George's Day. Includes a fact sheet, the legend written in child friendly vocabulary, creative, imaginative and descriptive writing sheets, composing poetry, writing diary extracts, newspaper articles, discussing themes, looking at characteristics of the characters in the legend and a few drawing activities. Also grammar brainstorming adjectives and a few comprehension questions.

A PDF file for EYFS and KS1 matching colour words to objects and completing a sentence. This will be good for reading, writing and word recognition, seasons and animal kingdom.

For Science Week and Spring this is a must for KS1 and KS2 pupils. A 20 page resource with drawing and writing activities, a word mat, fact sheets for individuals, groups or displays comprehension activity, missing words, why are plants important to humans, which part of plants do we eat, pollination and insects, seed dispersal activity and some fun activities to keep children motivated.

A pdf file with 20 story prompt starters for Easter, looking at animals, people plants. A great resource to encourage creative writing with the younger classes. Each prompt gives a starting sentence for the children to continue the story.This can be printed out as individual pages and used for display or as a complete booklet for individual pupils, therefore it is good for differentiation.

A great resource covering the events of Palm Sunday written in a simple narrative form for KS1 children to read themselves or in groups. A PDF file and a powerpoint presentation. Mainly done in black and white with a few coloured graphics. Resource includes reading activities, writing activities, grammar activities, diminutives, drawing acxtivities, word searching, internet activity and creative work. Suitable for differentation and for special needs children.
