A KS4 scheme on An Inspector Calls, going through the play chronologically. The scheme contains discussion topics as starter tasks (thinking point) and there are WAGOLLs throughout the scheme. There are differentiated tasks, both challenge (signified by a yellow telephone) and support (sentence starters or differentiated worksheets). Most PowerPoints are 4-5 slides long to accommodate for the reading of the text (and lessons being an hour long). Homework sheets are included. Approx 17 lessons long.
A KS3 scheme of approx 36 lessons on the novel The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. Each lesson has support and challenge tasks for students. 2 assessments are included: a reading and a writing with full feedback sheets for easier marking. Scheme is based on interleaving: lots of lessons that are context based with articles, as well as linking in poetry and other texts with matching key themes. SOL and worksheets attached. This is a 20 lesson transition scheme for primary to secondary school English work. This scheme pretends that students have been shipwrecked on an island and need to complete a variety of activities/tasks to be saved. These activities include: writing descriptively, analysing language, listening, debating, letter writing and more. There are also two assessments that you can use. Towards the end of this FULL SCHEME there is a choice of whether you want to teach descriptive writing or language analysis or both (including a choice of assessments) approx. 20 lessons.
