This is part of a comic book series: “The Adventures of Captain O’Scampi” This lesson is all about adverbs and friendship. It comes with a comprehensive lesson/s and an activity booklet to go with the presentation. The lesson is introduced by the comic: ‘Captain O’Scampi Meets Schäfi Schafington’. The lesson then contains: reading comprehension, grammar explanation, gap fills, translations, vocabulary learning strategies (flashcards/mindmaps), written task - describe a photo, written 90 word task into a comic strip. The presentation goes through different grammatical structures, giving an example and an activity for each structure. The final task is a choice of two writing tasks with an example answer. This power point outlines the whole AQA GCSE oral exam. It then goes through the role play, photo card, and general conversation systematically. It outlines the assessment criteria, gives top tips, gives example tasks, suggestions on how to prepare and then example answers. It can be downloaded as a microsoft document, or there are links to Canva on the second slide of the power point. One Canva link requires no sign in and the power point can be used as is and presented. The other Canva link is a template link which means that you can use the presentation as a template and amend it, as you wish to adjust to your school and student needs.
