These lessons are is the third and fourth lesson of a short key stage 3 unit focusing on how William I consolidated power after his victory at Hastings. This lesson looks at how he used terror and the Domesday Book to control the people of England.

It asks students to compare the power of Goebbels with the power of Himmler and to reach conclusions. It also focuses on the relative success of the 1936 Berlin Olympics for GermanyThe powerpoint contains all of the resources, however a text book is useful.
