Discussion Starters for Collaborative Work

(0)
This product includes discussion starters and prompts to help students engage in meaningful conversations with their teammates as they do group projects and work together to solve problems. These were created with math in mind but could easily be utilized in any other subject area where students work together! I use these as reminders for my students by laminating them and taping them onto the tables or placing them inside acrylic displays at my collaborative stations. There are 8 different backgrounds and 2 styles. The pre-made product is wonderful for easy use and quick implementation while the blank templates allow students to brainstorm their own ideas and create a document which reflects their beliefs and values concerning group work. There are discussion starters for when your students are... "Just getting started" "When you want to share an idea" "When you need someone to explain their thinking" "When they disagree" "When they need to refocus" For example, when a student needs a friend to explain their thinking they might say... -Can you help me understand… -What did you mean when you said… -Can you tell me more about… -Can you explain how you… -Is there another way you could explain that? -Why did you choose this strategy? -How do you know you are right? Thank you so much for your consideration in this product! I hope it fits your needs and proves to be a helpful resource!

Attitudes of Excellence Posters with Reflection Questions

(0)
This set of classroom posters are a great way to get students thinking about what having "Attitudes of Excellence" means. They can think about how these attitudes apply to their lives, how they impact their learning, how they treat others, and how they see the world around them. These attitudes; appreciation, commitment, confidence, cooperation, creativity, curiosity, empathy, enthusiasm, independence, integrity, respect, and tolerance help students grow as they work inside the classroom, and take their learning to the great big world outside of it as well! I have included four different sets to match the decor of your classroom. -Chevron with greens, pinks, and tan colors -Black and White (I used these last year!) which are wonderful to print on colored paper to make a BIG statement. -Geometric with Bright Colors (I'm using these this year!) -Bright Water Colors *I also do custom products* Message me at widenmo6684@gmail.com if you have a request.
