De La Salle School

De La Salle and Language College is a small thriving oversubscribed fully comprehensive and inclusive 11-16 school. Our school is situated on the northern side of Basildon in one of the most attractive sites in South Essex. As a Catholic school we respect and value all faiths, beliefs and cultures and welcome students who wish to share in a Catholic education.

De La Salle School and Language College helps students to understand and appreciate the Catholic religion through love and faith in Christ. Pupils are encouraged to develop respect for religious and moral values in their daily lives. Staff strive to help students gain lively, enquiring and creative minds and a love of learning, urging them to apply themselves to tasks through the virtues of self-discipline and hard work.

All members of the school community are encouraged to grow in awareness of their own unique worth and to use their gifts in responsible, friendly co-operation with others. De La Salle offers a curriculum for children of all abilities. The secondary school is committed to fostering high expectations and to providing the means for these to be fulfilled.
