Values and vision
Hailsham Community College wishes to be a busy, cheerful community based on friendly relationships. The secondary school’s focus is on learning and on taking pride in nurturing and supporting the personal, social and academic development of each individual. The school acknowledges that students learn best when they are secure and happy.
Hailsham Community College’s "growth mindset" ethos fosters high aspirations for all. Teachers wish for all students to develop curiosity and an appetite for learning. To complement the curriculum, the school offers a huge array of enrichment activities that range from after-school clubs to inter-school competitions and overseas visits. It aims to offer something for everyone and to encourage all students to get involved.
The Academy firmly believes that effective communication between parents/carers and staff is key to success.
