About Rainham School for Girls
We believe Rainham School for Girls is a uniquely wonderful place to work. Our girls (and boys in the Sixth Form) flourish due to the high aspiration, high expectation and dedication of our staff. There is a real focus on providing an outstanding learning experience for all students, within a safe, disciplined and caring environment. If you genuinely enjoy teaching because of the positive impact you can have on the lives of our young people, are a consistently good or better practitioner seeking to develop your teaching practice and want to work in a positive, dynamic environment, then we may be the right school for you.
We are a consistently high attaining, non-selective, single sex academy within Medway. We have students from a broad range of backgrounds and abilities, including the most able which contributes to an inclusive but academic ethos. Our last OFSTED judgement was good with outstanding features, and in particular, the behaviour of our girls is exemplary. Since that inspection we have continued to drive improvement in all areas. We are a large oversubscribed school with 1600+ students and a vibrant mixed Sixth Form.
We offer all employees a comprehensive induction and support. High quality CPD and a school-wide focus on our advanced pedagogical model means you will be constantly encouraged to reflect and develop. A range of whole staff and personalised programmes support progression onto middle and senior leadership. As a member of The Kemnal Academies Trust, we work in partnership with other schools, enabling us to benefit from networking and wider opportunities to develop your career. We are part of a Teaching School Alliance and value the innovation from our partnerships with initial teacher training providers. If you are interested in any existing opportunities available at the school, please do not hesitate in contacting us for an informal conversation or visit.
This School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
