About St Thomas the Apostle College
St Thomas the Apostle school is a 11-18 Catholic boys’ school with a co-educational Sixth Form in South London. We are an Outstanding school, 2017 TES Secondary School of the Year winners, and the 3rd best secondary school in the UK (according to The Times). We pride ourselves on our high expectations of all learners. This creates a calm learning environment where teachers can teach and students can learn.
A voluntary-aided school in the Catholic tradition, St Thomas the Apostle College was founded in 1965 and welcomes students from a wide variety of backgrounds from the local area and beyond. Its Sixth Form opened in 2015.

Values and Vision
The Catholic tradition plays a huge part in the day-to-day life of St Thomas the Apostle College, with the values of mutual respect and courtesy being expected of students at all levels. This is evident in the classroom, where students are respectful, polite and hardworking and teachers are supported in maintaining these high standards.
The secondary school is dedicated to producing a broad and diverse curriculum, with students studying a wide range of subjects. Students are encouraged to be curious and inquisitive about their learning, with the expectation that they will work hard and become independent learners ready to enter the world of work.
Ofsted Report
“Teachers’ enthusiasm for their subjects, expert subject knowledge, high expectations and skillful selection of stimulating resources all combine to generate outstanding learning. The cumulative impact of three years of outstanding learning is that fewer interventions are needed in Year 11 as these students have already made so much progress.”
