Thorpe Hesley Primary School is a happy, welcoming, vibrant place full of children and staff who have a real enthusiasm for learning. The most important part of our Outstanding school is the pupils and they are at the heart of everything we do. We believe every child should be prepared for an ever-changing world through an inspiring, bespoke and creative curriculum.

We aim to provide a safe, happy environment for children and adults which embraces the whole community and where everyone feels welcomed and supported. We constantly strive to be the best we can be and give our children the best opportunities and experiences we can. Every member of staff in our school are fully committed to giving the school and our pupils their best.

We are a friendly, larger than average school, catering for around 550 pupils from Early Years Foundation stage through to Year 6. Every member of staff in school, as well as our Advisory Group, are fully committed to giving the school and our pupils their best.

Thorpe Hesley Primary School sits within the New Collaborative Learning Trust (NCLT), a multi-academy Trust which currently comprises of three 16-19 Colleges, three primary schools and one 11-16 Academy. NCLT was awarded ‘Employer of the Year’ in the 2023 MAT Excellence Awards and is recognised as a Leader in Diversity and a Disability Confident Employer. Collaboration is at the core of our work and we have a shared commitment to providing an outstanding learning experience and making a positive contribution to social mobility and the lives of young people.
