Are you an experienced administrator who is keen to join a friendly, passionate team, putting children at the heart of everything we do?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join Ruskin Infant School & Nursery. We are seeking to appoint a versatile, sociable and positive minded lead for Data and Attendance administration. The successful applicant will ideally have experience working in a busy office, within an educational setting and ideally have an administrative background within education including a successful Nursery setting.

The Administration team holds an important function within the school, providing the first point of contact for staff, pupils, families and visitors to the school. The ability to keep a cool head under pressure is essential, as is a friendly and professional approach with all staff, children, parents and visitors alike. Arbor (or similar MIS) experience and an excellent level of IT skills are desirable, attention to detail is essential.

Reporting directly to the Office Manager and Head of School, the administrator (including Data & Attendance) is responsible for ensuring all administrative aspects of the school run efficiently through effective working practices. Your core duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Manage manual and computerised record/information systems.
  • Analyse and evaluate data/information and produce reports/information/data as required.
  • Undertake word-processing and other IT based tasks
  • Use the school’s management information system, Arbor, to prepare and maintain attendance registers and records as required
  • Seek reasons for unexplained pupil absence, process attendance data and pupil returns as required
  • Dealing with queries in the main school office from parents, children, staff, visitors etc.

Pay: Grade E Scale 4-5 Full time equivalent is £23,114 - £23,500, salary stated is subject to pro rata  

Hours - 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Term time plus 5 training days.
