Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dedicated and collaborative support team. We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, pro-active and organised individual, with exceptional communication skills, who thrives in a fast paced environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a positive, efficient customer journey for prospective families. The Admissions Manager will work within the Admissions and Marketing team to maximise enquiry generation and conversion, managing the full process, from initial enquiry to the pupil joining Derby High. This role is the initial face of Derby High School and must ensure the enrolment process is as seamless as possible, in a welcoming manner.   The Admissions Manager plays an essential part in developing and sustaining the reputation and profile of Derby High School.

Applications are encouraged from candidates with experience in a similar role, excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and preferably with experience managing a database.

This is a full time, all year round position with 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays and school Christmas holidays.

Salary will be subject to the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

If you have any questions or would like to arrange a tour of the school please contact April Dunnicliffe-Smith on 01332 514267 in the first instance.

Early applications are encouraged and we reserve the right to close recruitment early if we receive sufficient suitably qualified applications.

Closing date – Friday 11th October 2024

Derby High School is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion. We encourage applications from a diverse range of suitably qualified candidates, including candidates who may require reasonable adjustments.

The school has rigorous safeguarding and child protection procedures in place and applicants will be required to undertake child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
