Outwood Academy City Fields is an 11-16 academy based in the friendly cathedral city of Wakefield. The Academy was rated Good by Ofsted in March 2022. Outwood Academy City Fields is excited to offer this opportunity to work as an Advanced Teaching Assistant. The successful applicant will provide classroom support and out of class support to our amazing children, timetabled and planned by our inclusion department. You will be empowered with the knowledge to support the learning of our well rounded children. We are looking for an individual who has high aspirations for children, committed and passionate about learning; who has the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our children and share our goal of ‘Students First’. 

We are seeking to appoint an Advanced Teaching Assistant with the drive to contribute to an atmosphere of respect, recognition, optimism and mutual support within the school which promotes equality within and values the diversity of the school community. You will be required to work closely with members of our Inclusion Team and have the energy and creativity to develop and inspire students learning. 

The role of an Advanced Teaching Assistant across our Academy is to promote the learning and welfare of children by providing practical and learning support to children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, including those with Education Health Care Plans, under the direction of the class teacher, SENDCo or the extended inclusion team.
