Have you previously worked as a zookeeper, veterinary nurse, animal technician, or in a related field such as wildlife, conservation or animal management and have a higher education qualification? If so, discover how you can utilise your expertise and transition into a rewarding career as a Further Education Lecturer and join us for a staff recruitment open day at 3.00pm on Tuesday 23 July 2024 to learn more about becoming a Lecturer in Animal Management at Capel Manor College.


To become a lecturer, no formal teaching experience is required. If you have experience in animal management and a passion to pass on your skills to the next generation, we would love for you to join us. We look for individuals who are passionate about developing a nurturing learning environment. Full training will be provided.


The open day will start at 3.00pm with presentations from the Curriculum Manager for animal management and Head of HR. A tour of the campus and a chance to meet some of our animals will follow. Attendees can then have a short informal conversation with a manager in the department to find out more about becoming a Further Education Lecturer. Refreshments will be served throughout the event.

  • Register your interest in working for the College in September
  • Opportunity to have an informal face-to-face discussion with a current manager in the department
