The Role
We are seeking a highly organised and passionate Art Technician to support the Art team with the smooth running of the department to join as soon as possible. They will contribute to the development of an outstanding department.
We take pride in our focus upon developing learning through activities outside of the classroom and making use of the opportunities within London’s cultural offer. Our subject specialists take pride in sharing their passion with our students demonstrating their own ‘love of learning’. We value creative ideas, whereby opportunities to develop new initiatives, in or out of the department, are restricted only by imaginations.
Our School
Canary Wharf College Crossharbour has the highest ambitions for young people in our community on the Isle of Dogs and across the wider borough of Tower Hamlets. We opened in 2016 at the top of one of our primary schools and moved into a new interim purpose-built site with excellent facilities in September 2018. As of September 2022, the school is at capacity in its current site with 450 students from Years 7-11.

We are looking for someone who:
- Is committed to the school ethos and is enthusiastic about joining an expanding school.
- Work closely with teaching staff to optimise pupils’ learning
- Ensure health and safety standards are met
- Maintain equipment, materials, and facilities in the Art Department.
- Working knowledge on Adobe Photoshop and other creative software
- Creative background and/or relevant qualifications
- Understanding of a variety of creative processes such as printing, painting, photography and ceramics
- Can always channel their emotions positively and work with purpose.

About Us
Canary Wharf College Crossharbour is a new free school with the most incredible journey both having been undergone and still ahead. It has the highest ambitions for young people in our community on the Isle of Dogs and across the wider borough of Tower Hamlets. We opened in 2016 at the top of one of our primary schools and moved into a new interim purpose built site with excellent facilities in September 2018. As of September 2022, the school will be at capacity in its current site with 450 students from Years 7-11, taught in small class sizes, and will expand into sixth form once we have opened our permanent 1200 strong school, currently scheduled for September 2024 opening.
Growth
Canary Wharf College Crossharbour is part of a growing Multi-Academy Trust. Our ethos is to 'Live, Share and Celebrate a Love of Learning in a Christian Environment, whilst welcoming those of other faiths and cultures.'
We are the third school founded by Sarah Counter. Canary Wharf College East Ferry, established in 2011, and Canary Wharf College Glenworth, founded in 2014, are both primary schools educating children aged 4-11.
