Job overview

Are you ready to lead innovative change in curriculum delivery? Our Educational Leadership Team are seeking a bold Maths specialist across all phases to elevate our students’ learning experiences.

We are seeking a creative and compassionate leader with a proven track record of raising standards through an in-depth knowledge and passion for their subject.

As Assistant Director of Maths and Problem Solving you will be part of a knowledgeable and supportive executive leadership team dedicated to collaboration and authenticity.

Whether you’re new to Trust-wide leadership or bring a wealth of experience, you will be working with a team that share your commitment to achieving excellence in Maths Curriculum.

We seek a candidate who is courageous in their vision for empowering young people to reach their potential. Are you driven to empower young people to apply their mathematical and problem-solving skills confidently beyond the classroom?

Do you believe in providing educational experiences that inspire courage and curiosity? If so, we are keen to hear from you. As Assistant Director of Maths and Problem Solving you will champion this approach, working closely with other key subject leads.

If you are excited by being part of a dynamic organisation that prioritises the growth and success of both students and staff, we encourage you to apply. We are a pro-active employer in exploring employee aspirations and providing high-quality mentoring, certified, funded CPD opportunities, and career pathways.

Are you committed to ensuring the needs of all individual students are met? Our goal is to offer a curriculum which not only satisfies the requirements of the National Curriculum but is seen by each individual student as relevant to them, building upon their unique experiences and offering engaging challenges, allowing every young person to reach their full potential.

We are a Trust that advocates learning through modern technology and innovative opportunities, equipping our young people and staff for the rapidly evolving world in which we live.

This role involves engagement across all our Trust sites, requiring passion and commitment to multiple stakeholders. We fully support a healthy work/life flex and are committed to empowering leaders in finding this balance. Hybrid working is available for this role, and we welcome any enquiries around this and any further enquiries around how we can support your wellbeing in our organisation.

What We have to Offer:

  • A visible and approachable senior leadership team and an enthusiastic and committed team of teachers and support staff.
  • A strong support network both within the school and across Authentic Education.
  • All staff are part of a professional learning community in which evidence-informed CPD is designed to meet individual needs.
  • Strong potential for career progression.
  • A culture that respects work-life balance and an ongoing commitment to wellbeing with a dedicated Wellbeing Champion.
  • An Employee Assistance Programme including in the moment support and counselling sessions with an external provider.
  • Staff benefits include free eye testing for DSE users through Specsavers, free will writing through Dunham McCarthy Solicitors and reduced price corporate gym membership through BH Live.
  • A competitive pension through The Local Government Pension Scheme.
