Job overview
The School is seeking to appoint a new role with responsibility for the essential elements of the non-examined curriculum including PSHE, RSE and Online Safety. This is an exciting new opportunity to shape the provision and to have a tangible impact on pupils’ skills, knowledge and their preparedness for each next stage. The successful candidate will have a significant role in shaping and influencing the content and ensuring coherence and consistency throughout the school. This role will work closely with the Heads of School and will require a high degree of agility, communication and interpersonal skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- PSHE and RSE – responsibility for the curriculum and consistent delivery of PSHE and RSE across the entire school.
- Online safety – responsibility for a curriculum that prepares pupils to use technology safely and responsibly.
- Transitions – responsibility for establishing a seamless continuum between Primary and Senior School as well as between key stages of a pupil’s education.
- Careers – to develop the Careers program based on the Gatsby framework for pupils as they progress through the school.
About You
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven commitment to pupil development and experience of influencing outcomes of pupils across a broad range of ages. An ability to deliver outcomes through other staff and to ensure policy is reflected in practice. A passion and belief in the wider curriculum and the agility to respond to changing needs and trends that face young people. An excellent pastoral focus and ability to contribute to the leadership of safeguarding and to the school curriculum.
