Are you passionate about plumbing and eager to inspire the next generation of professionals? Newham College is looking for a dedicated and experienced Plumbing Lecturer to join our esteemed Plumbing department. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact by teaching and assessing across a range of courses, while also acting as a course tutor for groups of students.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment on various plumbing courses, ensuring alignment with college standards and meeting awarding body expectations. You will be tasked with implementing curriculum and course development, creating schemes of learning and work materials, and contributing effectively to teamwork in course delivery. Your involvement in course moderation, verification of assessed work, and participation in regular course team meetings will be crucial to maintaining the high standards of our programs.

Course management and administration are integral to this position. You will keep accurate and updated records of courses and students, including registers, reports, and assessment data. Additionally, you will provide accurate course and student information as required by the College and contribute to local self-assessment and quality improvement action plans.

We seek candidates with qualifications in English and Maths at GCSE grade C/4 or above or a Functional Skills Qualification at Level 2, and at least Level 3 qualifications in Plumbing or a relevant subject area specialism. A good understanding of Green Technologies and a full teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, or DTLLS is essential.
