What You Will Be Doing:

  • Leading the Business Development & Engagement (BDE) team in supporting the continued growth of employer, partner and learner engagement in order to meet ESFA targets, including Apprenticeships, Adult Learning, Work Experience and College wide contract targets
  • Leading and coordinating the BDE team by managing schedules, the key goals process and supporting the setting of individual targets to achieve ESFA and College wide targets, ensuring relevant documentation and systems are available and up to date
  • Monitoring recruitment and engagement activity linked to curriculum business plans across the BDE team, while working closely with other cross-College departments, including Marketing
  • Leading the BDE team in rigorously monitoring and reporting on the weekly, monthly and yearly recruitment and engagement targets, through tracking meetings and a range of reports

What We Are Looking For:

  • 4 GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above
  • Proven ability to successfully lead and motivate a team to achieve challenging dynamic targets (including employer and stakeholder engagement)
  • Experience of working in a stakeholder engagement/ sales/ target driven and dynamic environment
  • Ability to work with databases/ systems to produce relevant reports

About Nelson and Colne College

Nelson and Colne College, located in the town of Nelson, Lancashire, offers further education to 1,600 full-time students and 3,500 part-time adults. The college was founded during the reorganisation of education in Pendle in the early 1970s and created by the merger of several local sixth forms. 

Recent investments have included a £2m engineering facility, an all-weather sports pitch and gym, fully equipped science laboratories, and student study and social spaces. In January 2017, Nelson and Colne College launched a university centre to offer a range of higher education programmes in East Lancashire and beyond.
