Moor House School & College is an outstanding residential and day school for children and young people with significant speech, language and communication needs. Situated close to a mainline station with direct links to London, the school is located in a beautiful rural setting on the Kent and Surrey borders. We are seeking to recruit a Child and Adolescent Counsellor for a full time position (to cover maternity leave), with demonstrable interest in Developmental Language Disorder and or/speech disorders and associated diagnoses. The role will involve direct individual/ group work with students across the school and college and contribution within multi-disciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to student mental health and well-being. Applicants must be trained as a Child Counsellor, ideally integrating creative approaches within their work, to a minimum of diploma standard and be registered (or working towards registration) with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) or the United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapy (UKCP).

Successful candidates will join the mental health team that is part of a large, established Therapy Team. CPD and research opportunities are considered vital to the provision of a high-quality service, and these are actively encouraged.

If you would like an informal discussion about the role, please email the Principle Integrative Child Psychotherapist, Stuart Lane on Lanes@moorhouseschool.co.uk and provide a contact telephone number.
