Our School

The Corner School is a Special Educational Needs school, graded good by Ofsted in February 2022, and run by the charity Unlocking Potential. We believe that every child can learn and enjoy a fulfilling school life, regardless of their social and emotional needs.

We accommodate children across key stage 1 and 2 and limit our class sizes because we recognise that small and one-to-one work with teachers is crucial to the academic development of our children, and have 1:1 and 2:1 ratios in place to meet the needs of our learners.

Our therapeutic approach is woven throughout all aspects of the school, all staff are trained and supported to have a therapeutic disposition, informed by training in attachment and trauma-responsive approaches. Our dedicated team of Teachers, Teaching Assistants and Therapists work together to develop personalised, dynamic support for each learner enabling them to grow in their own unique way. We offer a safe and nurturing environment and the stability needed to develop their self-esteem, resilience and enable them to learn.
