Required from as soon as possible
To supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of the class teacher under the guidance of teaching/senior staff, including implementing work programmes, managing pupil behaviour and assisting pupils in relevant activities in line with the school’s policies and procedures. When not supervising teaching classes, you will undertake teaching assistant duties within our SEND department under the direction of the SENDCO/Assistant SENDCO.
Norton Canes High School continues to enjoy growth in pupil numbers. We are therefore, seeking a self-motivated, flexible candidate to take on the role of cover supervisor. We are looking to appoint someone who is passionate about working with young people and has the confidence to deliver lessons in an engaging way to motivate our students during a teacher's absence.
