We are an 11-18 high school serving the villages of Norton Canes and Heath Hayes and the surrounding area. We have a friendly and lively community.  We are looking for a self-motivated and committed Cover Supervisor Coordinator to coordinate cover each day and supervise classes during staff absence. You will work under the direction and guidance of senior staff.

 Support to Team

 •    To co-ordinate cover, including supply staff.

•    To determine resource needs.

•    To have regard to the welfare of the team in a dual management situation.

•    To work with the Senior Management to ensure equitable deployment across the  team with regard to cover.

•    To liaise with the Senior Management responsible for Quality Assurance to ensure consistently high standards across the team.

 Support for Pupils 

 •        Establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.

•        Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils within the classroom.

•        Support pupils consistently whilst recognising and responding to their individual needs. 

Support for Teacher

 •   Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the school’s policies and procedures.

•   Managing behaviour of pupils whilst they are undertaking this work to ensure a constructive environment, according to the school’s behaviour policy.

•   Reporting back as appropriate using the school’s agreed referral procedures on the behaviour of pupils during the class, and any issues arising.

 Support for the Curriculum

 •   Support the use of ICT where appropriate.

•   Make appropriate use of equipment and resources.
