Dipont Huayao Collegiate School Kunshan is seeking a Creative Design and Innovation Teacher to join its diverse, enthusiastic and highly supportive community of teachers, working in a beautifully appointed and state of the art campus.
The Creative Design & Innovation (CDI) courses consist of a series of specialized STE(A)M programs that will explore the real-life application of skills, concepts, and theories that are at the heart of the core subject areas. Through the application of Dipont Huayao's proprietary teaching methodology known as inquiry Project-Based Learning (iPBL), students will develop and test their ideas through a variety of engaging projects that have been intentionally designed to target specific learning outcomes from the Chinese National Curriculum (CNC) while also incorporating the very best in foreign curriculum integration and teaching practices. Furthermore, each of the CDI courses have a specific year group theme which are designed to help students develop a deeper understanding of the real-world application of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics through authentic iPBL learning activities. These themes include Creative Design in grade 7, Structural Design in grade 8, and Electrical & Mechanical Design in grade 9. Students may then choose to continue their STE(A)M education in the upper grades (10-12) by selecting any number of the Specialist High Skill Majors (SHSM) from the school's extensive elective program offerings. Finally, all the secondary school courses that are part of the STE(A)M continuum have been designed specifically to help equip students with the necessary 21st-century literacies that they will need to complete in the new global economy.

This is Dipont’s third independent school project, following the successful establishment of RDFZ King’s College School Hangzhou and Nanwai King’s College School Wuxi. The campus in Kunshan is nearing completion and, at capacity, will provide an outstanding learning environment for 2,800 scholars and feature state-of-the-art laboratories, a performing arts center with an 800 seat theater and first-class sports complexes.
The school is enrolling students for September 2020 and opening up a range of teaching positions from preschool to 10th grade. By 2022, the school will grow into a full upper school through 12th grade, offering AP classes and advanced specialized electives in all subject areas over the following two years.
The campus consists of:
