We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Curriculum Leader for Access & Achievement (SENCo) to join our fantastic school Chorlton High School. This new post is available to applicants with a start date of Easter 2025 or sooner.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Curriculum Leader for Access & Achievement, who is able to obtain the best outcomes for our students. Chorlton High School seeks to appoint a leader who is passionate and determined to impart knowledge, skills and understanding to all of our students, whilst exciting and engaging them in their learning.
The right candidate will :
· Lead the academy to develop excellence in inclusive practice for students with Special Educational Needs (SEND) and to lead the Access and Achievement team to support the delivery of outstanding progress for SEND students.
· Alongside the Quality of Education team lead the development of excellent teaching and curriculum development for all pupils to support the delivery of outstanding progress for students with SEND
· Plan strategically and co-ordinate the day-to-day operation of the academy’s SEND policy including ensuring early identification of need and a whole school graduated approach.
A National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordinator or similar qualification is desirable, but not essential for this specific role. Applications from those working towards a qualification, or keen to undertake this training, are welcomed.
