We are seeking an exceptional Curriculum Leader for Art,  Design and Technology at our fantastic school. The Role:

As  Curriculum Lead for Art,  Design and Technology, you will:

  • Have a specialism in Food, Art or Resistant Materials.
  • Lead and manage the Art and DT departments, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across both subjects.
  • Design and deliver an engaging curriculum that inspires students to excel in Art and DT.
  • Drive innovation and creativity, encouraging students to develop both practical and critical thinking skills.
  • Oversee departmental planning, budgeting, and resource management.
  • Use of a range of data to inform policies, practices, expectations, targets and teaching methods.
  • Support and mentor staff within the departments to foster professional growth and collaboration.
  • Promote student engagement through enrichment, exhibitions, competitions, and projects.


About You:

  • We are looking for an inspiring and adaptable leader who:
  • Is passionate about their subject.
  • Communicates effectively with all staff, students and parents.
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has experience teaching Art and/or DT
  • Has proven leadership skills or the potential to excel in a leadership role.
  • Is passionate about fostering creativity and practical skills in students.
  • Can design and deliver an innovative and inclusive curriculum for Key Stages 3–5.
  • Demonstrates strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Is committed to creating an engaging and supportive learning environment for students and staff alike.
