Curriculum Leader of Design Technology

The Westgate School offers our students excellent facilities within Design Technology and we are currently recruiting for the ideal candidate to manage and lead our Design Technology department.   We have a dedicated, fully equipped class that can be used for both theory and practical lessons. The department also has a dedicated technician to assist in preparation for practical lessons and to assist during lessons as necessary. Design Technology continues to be a popular subject with our GCSE students. We are looking for someone who is passionate about teaching engaging lessons that will help students appreciate the importance of the subject and develop the skills they need for life. Food Technology is a separate department.

The successful candidate will: 

• Have the necessary qualities to successfully deliver an engaging curriculum to all key stages  
• Be able to develop, plan and deliver high quality and engaging learning experiences to all students  
• Be an experienced teacher who is enthusiastic about their subject and shares the values of the school
