We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Deputy Head of Year to join our school’s vibrant community on a Fixed term contract. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to contribute to student welfare, development, and achievement within our Year Groups and the wider Pastoral Team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide pastoral support to ensure the well-being, personal development, and behaviour of students across the Year Groups.
  • Work closely with the Head of Year to maintain high standards of learning, progress, and achievement for all students.
  • Be a point of contact for student-related matters, assisting with the administration and management of welfare systems and procedures.
  • Support the Pastoral Lead in overseeing the tutor framework, promoting positive behaviour, and creating a nurturing school environment.
  • To deputise in place of the Head of Year when necessary.

What we’re looking for:

  • Passionate about education and student welfare.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage and support student-related administrative tasks.
  • A proactive individual, capable of working collaboratively with the wider Pastoral and teaching teams to support high-quality teaching and learning.
