The City of London School wishes to appoint a Deputy Registrar to join our outstanding and hard-working Admission Team, working for the Registrar and alongside the other Deputy Registrar. The role involves organising, managing, co-ordinating and delivering the administration of school admissions for all points of entry and to contribute to the development of admissions strategies, systems and processes to achieve an efficient, effective, responsive and courteous admissions service to prospective pupils and their families, feeder schools and others.

The post is term time only, with twenty additional working days required throughout the year. These are to include part of the October and February half terms and certain days at the start and end of each term (including some agreed days during the summer holidays). The post is full time at CLS during term time, with the possibility of working from home in the holidays.

The successful candidate will be an initial point of contact for all admissions enquiries and play a leading role in specific areas of work in the admissions process. The successful candidate will have significant office experience, excellent written and oral communication skills, a strong work ethic and proficiency with ISAMs, Word and Excel. The ability to maintain efficient records electronically, and to have strong organisation skills and the ability to work with attention to detail is essential together with self-motivation and the ability to prioritise, to work flexibly and when under pressure at busy times. Previous experience of a similar role in admissions in the independent school sector would be an advantage.

CLS was named by the Sunday Times as London Independent Secondary School of the Year 2020, and occupies fine, modern buildings near St. Pauls Cathedral overlooking the Thames, opposite the Tate Modern. There are impressive off-site sports facilities in south east London.

CLS Professional Support Staff Pay Scale 2024-2025. The Full time Salary for this role is in the City of London Corporation Grade D in the range £37,094 - £41,300 per annum inclusive of London Weighting.
