Job overview

 This is an opportunity for a qualified and suitably experienced teacher to contribute to the establishment of an inclusive curriculum or who wishes to gain experience of leadership across the school. The Deputy SENCO will play a leading role, with the guidance of the SENCO (Assistant headteacher), in supporting staff members in implementing a provision which allows all pupils to achieve and make good progress. They will be part of and lead aspects of the school’s inclusion team. 

The post is ideal for teachers who aspire to be a SENCO or gain experiences of leadership across the school. The successful candidate will be involved in developing, implementing and reviewing provisions to cater for a range of individual special educational needs that is reflective of a highly inclusive inner-city school.
