Job overview

We are looking for an experienced and committed individual to join our team of dedicated professionals who support the school in providing high quality learning opportunities for our students. We are currently in the process of implementing an exciting 1 to 1 device project for all current Year 7s which will carry through the school over the next four years. We need an innovative individual who can work independently and is visionary. We want to prepare our school and our students to work with the technology as it evolves. You will become an integral part of a progressive organisation and be a key contributor to the strategic development and maintenance of all aspects of our IT provision. We will require you to manage exciting market leading technologies with an opportunity for a hands-on approach ensuring we are as up-to-date in our provision as we can be.

Carrington School is an ambitious, forward thinking 11 to 16 school, serving the Redhill area.

The school is a member of the South East Surrey Schools Education Trust, which is a partnership of The Ashcombe, Therfield and Carrington Schools; each being successful, inclusive schools committed to work in collaboration for the benefit of their distinctive communities and those children and young people whom they serve. The school offers outstanding continuing professional development for its staff and the Trust will offer a range of opportunities for the right candidate to develop their practice and demonstrate their potential for promotion.

Values and vision

Carrington School staff are a team of professionals who dedicate their lives to providing students with a high-quality education. Our core values are Aspire, Innovate and Respect and our aim across the coming year is to ensure that we all live and breathe these so they become embedded into our everyday lives and will support success for everyone. Our students want to learn, however under the new progress measures we were found to be in a position where not every child made expected progress. Over the past 24 months we have been addressing this in our practice across the school.
