Nottingham Girls' High School is looking to appoint an engaging, motivated, and well-qualified Director of Sport, to drive forward our excellent sports provision across our busy and thriving school. The ideal candidate will have experience of academic PE, teaching up to A-level, along with an excellent record of pupil results.

The post holder will have the organisational skills and drive to shape the vision for Sport, both academically and practically, inside and outside the classroom, ensuring it is one of our most successful and popular subjects. They will have care for our pupils and love for the subject, so that you can inspire and enthuse our girls to be fit for life. They will also be logistically minded, able to schedule effectively and manage a team of staff. 

At our school, girls want to learn, and care about each other’s success. Relationships with teachers are exceptional, and you can focus on teaching your subject and developing future leaders in an environment where each individual, both staff and students, is known and valued.

Nottingham Girls’ High School GDST is a single sex, selective, non-denominational all through day school with sixth form in Nottinghamshire serving students from the age of 4-18. The all-through school, situated in Nottingham has approximately 1,071 students on record. It belongs to the Girls Day School Trust, a registered charity made of 26 independent girls’ schools in England and Wales.

Nottingham Girls’ High School GDST was founded in 1875. The school expanded in the 1970’s, with a new library being opened by HRH the Duke of Edinburgh. A new Sixth Form Centre opened in 2009.
