About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Studies to join our Senior Leadership Team at Brighton College Prep Kensington. In this vital role, you will lead the academic framework, ensuring the educational needs of our pupils are met through effective curriculum implementation.

You will oversee the Head of Departments, guiding them in developing Schemes of Work and monitoring the quality of teaching and learning. Your leadership will promote continuous improvement and excellence in education.

Additionally, you will support our Future Schools Strategy, helping pupils navigate their educational pathways and prepare for transitions to senior schools. This includes managing exam preparations and tracking pupil progress while reporting academic data to the Head and Governors.

Who we are looking for: 

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Degree holder
  • Significant teaching experience in the independent sector, particularly in KS3
  • Experience of preparing pupils for senior school entrance assessments at 11+ and 13+, including written and online assessments and Scholarship preparation
  • Experience leading and managing a team or department
  • An understanding and relationships with top tier 13+ Senior Schools

We are in the heart of South Kensington, steps away from the museums of Exhibition Road, next door to the Imperial College Ethos Sports Centre and around the corner from Hyde Park.
