Salary range: between 22737 and 23893

Pay details: H2-3 Dependent on experience

Oakmere Primary School and Nursery are seeking a friendly, flexible and pro-active person to join our welcoming school. The main duties involve providing and ensuring a clean, organised and safe environment for users of the school buildings and grounds. This is a new role to the school on a 6-month fixed term contract, with the opportunity of this becoming permanent in the future. This is a part-time role for 15 hours per week, 38 weeks term time.

This would be 3 hours per day, ideally with a start time between 7am or 8am. Additional hours are available if suitable to the candidate, should they wish to be involved in the closing of the school and for any lettings. 

The candidate would be expected to attend training courses relevant to the role, i.e. safeguarding, PREVENT The following attributes are essential to this post:

• An ability to be flexible, pro-active, approachable, have good communication skills and able to work as part of a team
• Some knowledge of the main requirements of health and safety legislation and a willingness to learn 
• Knowledge on the operational needs of a primary school would be beneficial
